Adolescence is a time of rapid change — physical, emotional and social. It’s also a time when many parents find themselves at a loss.
Whether your family is navigating a difficult transition (like separation, relocation, or school changes), or your child is showing signs of emotional distress, social withdrawal, or behavioural challenges — you don’t have to face it alone.
Azia Ligthart offers one-on-one mentorship and youth support for young people aged 11–17, working with them in ways that are grounded, nurturing, flexible and practical.
Steiner School graduate K-12 (2017)
- Azia
Azia meets young people where they’re at — emotionally, developmentally, and physically. Her sessions might involve bushwalking, surfing, cooking, crafting, handing out job resumes, or simply having honest conversations in a park or quiet space. The intention is always the same: to build trust, create safety, and offer consistent, grounded support.
Is your child struggling with:
Self confidence, peer pressure, emotional outbursts, or school refusal?
Adjusting to family changes (such as separation, moving, or boarding school)?
Dealing with bullying, risky behaviour, or social disconnection?
In need of a confidante — someone closer to their own age who they can open up to safely?
Azia can offer the steady, intelligent and caring presence that so many young people are missing.

Azia has a natural ability to connect with children. She is a thoughtful, responsible and kind role model for children of varying ages. She is a strong communicator and we have a deep trust in her ability to keep our children safe while making them feel cared for and loved. She talks to all children in an age appropriate way that makes them feel seen and heard while helping to guide them.

Azia stands out amongst her peers and young people as grounded, worldly and wise beyond her years. She has decided to put her natural talent towards helping young people and I could not endorse her more highly. Anyone engaging Azia to assist them is fortunate and will be given gifts that will endure.
